Management Approach

Character Math focuses on the following grade levels:

  • 2nd-5th Grade

  • 6th-8th Grade

  • Special Education / Late Enrollments

We start where students are learning or should already know their Math Facts, applying our methods to support early numeracy and build a strong foundation for fractions, science, and other advanced math skills. Higher-grade students strengthen their division, fractions, geometry, statistics, and advanced math skills with Character Math.

Special Education and late-enrollment students also benefit, helping them catch up and stay on track. Having a spare package ensures readiness for unforeseen needs.

Curriculum Strategy

The program revolves around the Numerical Ladder, a newly designed Numbers Chart that teaches students to visualize patterns and understand number relationships. Each number has a unique structure, interacting with its counterpart to reveal patterns that simplify multiplication and division.

Character Math is “The Bridge Between The Tortoise & The Hare,” giving struggling students the tools to catch up and succeed.

Implementation:

  • 15–30 minutes per day, for 15 days

  • Continued practice throughout the school year

  • Students build lasting pattern recognition skills to prevent repeated struggles

Project Phases

Phase 1: Learn number patterns and familiarize students with their structures.
Phase 2: Exercise patterns using the Numerical Ladder.
Phase 3: Break down larger numbers through advanced stages of the program.
